There’s nothing quite like stepping off a plane in a brand-new country with a group of friends—some old, some brand-new—and knowing the next two weeks will be packed with adventure, laughter, and just a tiny bit of jetlag. That’s exactly how our Korea & Japan tour kicked off this June, and let us tell you—it was one for the books.

We started in Seoul, where palaces met skyscrapers, and bibimbap met our hungry stomachs. Walking through Gyeongbokgung Palace and watching the Royal Guard ceremony felt like stepping back in time, while the neon lights of Dongdaemun Market reminded us that Seoul truly never sleeps. Our travelers—many of whom have journeyed with us before—were thrilled to reunite. And for our new travelers? It was like being instantly adopted into the family. By the first group dinner, there were hugs, inside jokes, and the start of lifelong friendships.
From there, we rolled into Jeonju, Korea’s food capital, where we all agreed CNN was right about Bibimbap being one of the world’s best dishes. We strolled through the Hanok Village, snapped photos by historic pavilions, and even learned about traditional Hanji paper. Next stop: Busan, where the ocean breeze, bustling fish markets, and the glass-floored Oryukdo Skywalk made even the bravest among us feel a little wobbly (but the views? Totally worth it).
After high-speed trains and one too many late-night snacks, we wrapped up Korea and hopped over to Japan, starting with dazzling Osaka. Between the glowing streets of Dotonbori, the golden shimmer of Kyoto’s Kinkaku-ji Temple, and the magical walk through the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, it was impossible not to fall in love with Japan’s unique
charm.
Of course, Tokyo stole the show at the end—whether it was the peaceful Meiji Shrine, the chaos of Shibuya Crossing, or shopping sprees in Ginza. Some of us tried sushi for the first time, others stocked up on matcha everything, but all of us agreed: this trip was unforgettable.
What made it extra special? The people. Most of our travelers were returning clients, thrilled to reconnect with travel buddies from past adventures. But our new travelers were the real cherry on top—we loved welcoming them to the crew, and now they’re officially part of the family.
By the end, there were more selfies than we can count, endless “remember when” stories, and promises to meet again on the next adventure. Because with this group, it’s never “goodbye,” it’s always “see you on the next trip.”
